How do you feel when you see people who are born in rich families? As it never make them working so hard as opposed to children from poor families, such as porter and scavenger.
Let see, when rich people easily traveling abroad, enjoy the beautiful places, and everyone tend to be more respect at them though, because being rich itself would open more possibility to get an easy way in their life. Everything just one click without difficulties!
How people living in poverty then? Do they have rights to be happy? Furthermore, it hard still to feed they stomach, it is such an impossible to travel, right?
As an example, a few days ago unwittingly I met a guy who earns money by driving an “odong-odong” – it sort of like a small roller coaster for toddlers, very simple swing sets, when his pedal starting, a child’s music playing too. It is very populist toy, you can pay just for 1000 rupiah at about 25 minutes he escorts the kids.
One thing which hit me, when I saw his sweaty face, dull hair, because his riding under the blistering hot sun all day, to get kids whom come out and see him, I didn’t see despair at him. So touched by this!
As I reflect on my life, how resilient he was to earn every cents for living, compared I sometimes or like everybody surrounding me feel easy eating at food court or cafe, even though it costs may be thousand rupiah per book ordered.
That’s reality of life, come up with this topic as a reflection actually. As human beings, ideally we are not just supposed to look at the upper class, look down a little bit on lower, so you might say, “Thank you, God for everything, how lucky I am!” This things occur for healthy living, for able to breathe and think freely, or enjoy a rainy afternoon.
Well, the bottom line here is do not get arrogant, remember that life is like a roller coaster, many unexpected moments beyond us, so don’t ever think you are better than others.
